Sustainable Livestock industry
Located in Milan (Lugo), this installation manages food, milking and breeding for more than 150 livestock through robotic and fully automatic systems.
The use of the latest robotic technologies, with automatic management and computerised control, together with their sustainability thanks to the renewables, make this livestock installation a benchmark in the market. In addition to the milk extraction systems on this farm, the optimum temperature conditions of the animals are controlled, keeping the whole plant in conditions of humidity and temperature suitable for livestock.
It works entirely with wind and solar power in a mixed system that provides more than 120 kwh / day, with a peak power of about 40 kW. The use of solar and wind technology keep the generation flow constant both night and day, saving the surplus in batteries that are used to meet the energy needs when the renewable resource is not enough. Between both energies it is intended that the electrical expenditure of this installation is practically zero.
